“Around KLAP there’s nothing that we … there’s just kebabs. No dancer is going to eat a kebab and continue a rehearsal, it’s not possible. It needs to be a bit healthy, and you don’t find that around KLAP.”

“It’s a very luxurious place in a very poor neighborhood. Once I got my computer stolen inside KLAP. If the door is open people can come in. It’s a strange relationship with the environment”

“There is a stage-house [audience part of the theatre] relationship that’s quite surprising, because the stage in relation to the house is quite big. It’s rare to have such a big stage (15x15 roughly) with 200 seats. It’s usually 700 or 800 [seats]. It’s a bit like a studio where you can do your technical, you can invite some people, but it’s not like a real theatre. Several times I’ve had problems creating at KLAP and then touring in smaller theatres. You often have a tendency to get comfortable, and then being a bit tight elsewhere.”
